System Prerequisites
Ensure your server environment matches the minimum requirements below before installing the plugin.
WordPress
Minimum 6.0
Verified compatible up to 6.9.
WooCommerce
Minimum 5.0
Verified compatible up to 10.4.
PHP
Minimum 8.0
Use the latest stable runtime.
Best Practice
Keep WordPress, WooCommerce, and the Harmony plugin updated to the latest available versions.
Important
An active SSL certificate (HTTPS) is required to sell insurance products.
Backup Your Store
Installing a new integration modifies site files and database records. Create a recovery point first.
Option A — Hosting Provider
- Log in to your hosting dashboard.
- Verify you have a restore point from today.
- Create a manual backup if needed.
Option B — UpdraftPlus
- Plugins → Add New → Install & activate UpdraftPlus.
- Settings → UpdraftPlus Backups → Backup Now.
- Include database + files, then confirm.
Wait for the backup progress bar to finish before continuing.

Obtain Harmony Credentials
Your Harmony IT contact will email your API username and password. Treat them as confidential.
Security Warning
Store credentials in a password manager or encrypted vault. Do not share in unencrypted chats or public repositories.
