  • AI-generated insights – outputs created for you by our system.

  • Cookies & device data – browser type, IP address, and settings. See Section 6.

We process personal data under one or more of these grounds:

  • Performance of a contract – when you sign up for Capla.
  • Legitimate interest – product analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
  • Consent – optional cookies or marketing emails.
  • Legal obligation – when law requires us to keep or share data.

5. Sharing Your Data

  • Trusted vendors – cloud hosting, analytics, payment, and email tools that help us run Capla.
  • Human reviewers – expert consultants who may check AI output for quality and accuracy.
  • Legal authorities – only if we must comply with a valid request.
  • We never sell your personal data.

6. Cookies & Similar Tech

We use essential cookies to make Capla work and optional cookies for analytics. When you first visit, we ask for consent for optional cookies. You can change your choices any time in your browser or in your account settings.

7. Data Retention

We keep your personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above:

  • Account data – kept while you have an active account and up to 12 months after closure.
  • AI-generated insights and uploads – kept up to 24 months, unless you delete them sooner.
  • Legal records – kept as required by Dutch and EU law (usually 7 years).

8. Security

We apply industry-standard safeguards: encryption in transit and at rest, role-based access, and regular security audits. Still, no online service can guarantee 100 % security, so please use strong passwords and protect your account.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed outside the EEA when we use global service providers. In such cases, we rely on EU-approved Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions to protect your data.

10. Your Rights

Under the GDPR you can:

  • Access or download the personal data we hold on you.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Delete your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Restrict or object to certain processing.

We may update this Policy to reflect new features, legal changes, or user feedback. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date and, if changes are material, notify you by email or in-app.
